No se puede instalar a través del software Ubuntu: "la transacción de apt devolvió el resultado de la salida fallida"

Estoy usando 17.04 (Instalación limpia), y por lo que recuerdo, cada intento de instalar cualquier software, falla con ese código de error.

Lo intenté sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgradey el problema persiste.

alguna idea de por qué?

Tiene problemas con sus servidores de fuentes de software. Cámbielo desde la aplicación Software Sources. Puedes llegar a ella por:

• (Haga clic) el ícono de engranaje en la esquina superior izquierda
• Ajustes del sistema
• Actualizaciones de software
• (haga clic en la pestaña) Software de Ubuntu
• Elija un servidor diferente del menú desplegable de descargas

Obtendrá el mejor servidor si elige Otro , luego haga clic en Seleccionar el mejor servidor . En esa opción, el sistema ejecutará pruebas y lo emparejará con un servidor espejo con el mejor rendimiento para su ubicación.
