El problema todavía está aquí y no importa cuánta investigación haya hecho (principalmente repitiendo investigaciones anteriores), una solución no está más cerca. Otro usuario informó el mismo problema hoy: el modo de suspensión agota la batería muy rápido

Cuando esta pregunta se publicó originalmente, tenía una computadora portátil que se actualizó de 14.04 a 16.04. Desde entonces tengo una nueva computadora portátil con una nueva instalación de 16.04. Sin embargo, el problema aún persiste:

Observe cómo se suspende el sistema el 24 de febrero a las 11:30 p.m. y luego se reanuda el 25 de febrero a las 7:40 a.m. Al reanudar el sistema, inmediatamente se pone en "suspensión" y luego "se despierta".
Antecedentes
NOTA: En Ubuntu 16.04, la configuración de energía del cierre de la tapa está configurada en "Suspender" tanto para la batería como para la Enchufada.
Dentro de /etc/systemd/logind.conf
los valores predeterminados de "ignorar" se cambiaron a HandleLidSwitch=suspend
y HandleLidSwitchDocked=suspend
. La razón de ser un televisor externo HDMI está conectado y si alguna de estas opciones (o configuración de energía de Ubuntu) está configurada para "ignorar" o "no hacer nada", el sistema sigue funcionando cuando la tapa está cerrada pero el televisor se queda en blanco. Bajo Ubuntu 14.04 (sin systemd) la suspensión cuando la tapa cerrada funcionó como se esperaba.
Ha habido un montón de retoques históricos de acpi-events, pm-utils, gnome - ??? y posiblemente dbus - ???. También experimentando con varios métodos de suspensión de congelación y memoria.
Sinceramente, no puedo recordar todas las cosas diferentes que probé, pero parece que he buscado todo bajo el sol.

Mirando a las /var/log/syslog
5:05 am, el sistema fue suspendido (por systemd?). A las 4:46 p. M. (16:46) se reanudó el sistema, pero luego el kernel puso la computadora portátil en reposo y la activación inmediata. Hay muchos mensajes extraños como " la CPU principal no debería estar durmiendo ".
Mi preocupación es que otras cosas comienzan a romperse 6 meses después de que esta pregunta se publicara originalmente en octubre de 2016. Por ejemplo, Ethernet no se vuelve a conectar al despertar de la suspensión y el wifi se hace cargo. He degradado el controlador r8169 a r8168 pero eso no ha ayudado a nada. He configurado el reinicio de la red, pero eso no ha ayudado a las cosas, de hecho, a veces se pierde el DNS.
