Tengo un Inspiron 3521 que vino preinstalado con Windows 8.1. Decidí iniciar dual Windows y Ubuntu, y estaba funcionando bien. Pero, cuando uso Ubuntu, escuché mucho ruido de mi computadora portátil mientras usaba Windows, fue casi silencioso. Además, después de aproximadamente 2-3 semanas de usar Ubuntu, no pude usar Windows ya que se había vuelto muy lento. Ahora estoy reemplazando mi HDD porque está fallando. Entonces, ¿instalar Ubuntu y usarlo destruye mi HDD? Porque antes de instalarlo, Windows funcionaba bien, pero después de eso, se ha vuelto casi inutilizable. La razón por la que escuchó los ruidos en Ubuntu y no en Windows es porque Windows se instaló primero, por lo que reside en el lado interno de su disco duro en la región más densa, mientras que Ubuntu se instaló en las regiones externas donde los ruidos son más pronunciados debido a buscar.
Y puedo inferir todo esto solo de su descripción de los síntomas sin haber mirado la tabla de particiones de su disco duro ni saber cómo instaló su sistema ...

¿Qué tipo de sonido hace? Si escuchas un clic, entonces tu OS PODRÍA ESTAR DESTRUYENDO TU DISCO DURO . El problema es antiguo e implica que la función de Administración avanzada de energía estacione / desempaque el disco de manera demasiado agresiva. Intente usar hdparm para verificar el valor APM (-B param). Si es menor que 254, configúrelo en 254 y verifique si ayuda con el ruido. Si es así, asegúrese de que el valor permanezca 254 en todo momento. Una buena manera de garantizar esto en Linux es usar tlp. Para el registro, he visto que este problema también ocurre en Windows con ciertos modelos de computadoras portátiles, pero es mucho más común en Linux.
