¿Cómo instalar Valgrind en macOS Catalina (10.15) con Homebrew?

Intenté instalar Valgrind con el comando brew install Valgrind y recibo un mensaje que dice:

"valgrind: esta fórmula no se compila ni funciona como se esperaba en las versiones de macOS más nuevas que Sierra debido a una incompatibilidad ascendente. Error: un requisito no satisfecho falló esta compilación".

También traté de "brew edit valgrind" y reemplazar "sourceware.org/git/valgrind.git" con "git: //sourceware.org/git/valgrind.git" en la sección principal del código, luego escribí en Iterm " brew install --HEAD valgrind"pero me da:

Funciona asombrosamente !! ver https://github.com/LouisBrunner/valgrind-macos/issues/5 .

No es Homebrew, necesitas compilarlo desde la fuente, pero no es tan difícil.

1. git clone https://github.com/LouisBrunner/valgrind-macos.git
2. cd valgrind
3. sudo ./autogen.sh
4. sudo ./configure --prefix=/where/you/want/it/installed --enable-only64bit
5. copy the [contents][1] to ./coregrind/m_mach/mach_basics.c
6. sudo make 
7. sudo make install

La versión de hoy de github parece tener algunas mejoras. Lo construí a partir de las instrucciones aquí, con algunos cambios: 1. No es necesario para el paso 5. 2. No es necesario sudo en los pasos 3, 4 y 6. Hasta ahora, parece estar funcionando bien en Catalina 10.15.4 .
