MariaDB 10.3 introdujo objetos de secuencia (como se define en el Estándar SQL y como se ve en, por ejemplo, el RDBMS de Oracle). Estos no son útiles para esta pregunta en particular ya que los valores se almacenan en la base de datos, pero la característica podría ser útil en otros casos de uso relacionados con la secuencia.
