Apareció una publicación que respondí: MySQL está insertando "" como 0 en los campos decimales. ¿Cómo detener eso?
Veamos si se solucionó ese error desde que se envió. Intentaré duplicar el código en ese error que no funcionó.

Ha pasado un año y una semana desde que se envió ese informe de error y nada ha cambiado.

Necesita hacer esta prueba contra MySQL 5.6.23 y ver si algo ha cambiado.

, sí, es la única forma. De lo contrario, los valores numéricos que siguen el formato de coma flotante IEEE se convierten en 0. Desde que señalé la solución ( dba.stackexchange.com/questions/87206/… ), no ha creado un tipo de datos de coma flotante IEEE que puede comenzar como NULL.TRUNCATE
